We all have expiration dates. We don’t like to talk about death, but the date and time is not known. The bible clearly states that Heaven and Hell are real places. So, why is it we prepare and make decisions about every event in our lives, what college to attend, who we will marry, what job to obtain; but never give much thought to where we will spend “eternal life”.

Many people believe there is no Hell because a loving God would never punish people with eternal torment. Others believe that we are sent to a place called purgatory where we can repent for our sins after we die to prepare us for Heaven. I don’t know where most are being taught this doctrine, but it is not the truth. The bible states that all will die; some will exist in eternal bliss and others in eternal hell. It talks about the Lake of Fire where those that live a life not pleasing to the Lord will suffer (yes, your soul is conscious) day and night. The bible tells us that those that BELIEVE in Jesus will have eternal life and those that do not obey the Son will experience the wrath of God (John 3:16, 18, 36).

I know many people stood up, recited a prayer, and now believe they are saved. Words will not give you salvation. It takes commitment, faith and belief. Make a “decision” concerning your life after death. BELIEVE in Jesus as Lord and live a life pleasing to Him.
