The word Trinity is not a term used in our bible. But is used to identify the three distinct persons of God. We have God, one in essence, with three distinct persons: being the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as the Father. They are not three gods and not three beings. They are coeternal, coequal, and co-powerful, but take different roles.

  1. The Father chooses who will be saved. Many Christians believe they can save themselves, but only the Father decides who is saved; not your words, not the Pastor, not your good deeds.

Eph 1:3-4  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love

  1. The Son redeems us. He has paid for our sins, allowing us to have eternal life.

Eph 1:7-8  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight

  1. The Holy Spirit seals us. He also teaches and convicts us.

Eph 1:13  In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Joh 14:26  “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

Joh 16:8  “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;
