Through Christ our ‘shyness’ turns into ‘boldness’. Some of us are shy as a person; specially when it comes to speaking up in public or speaking out in a larger group or being assertive when necessary. We also are not able to testify about God’s goodness, neither are we able to pray bold prayers for others. Shyness is rooted in the spirit of pride. Once we get rid of pride by bringing it in submission to Christ, we are free indeed. In Christ, we are bold and confident to speak to the mountains and the challenges that attack us and others, and change the atmosphere around us from darkness to light. We pray bold, confident and faith filled prayers in public as well as in private to see the miraculous work of the Lord.

God wants us to be bold, courageous and confident in all scenarios. Silent prayers are good for our own introspection but doesn’t do anyone else any good. The devil is not intimidated by silent prayers. We speak to the negative situations boldly and root them out with boldness and confidence that come through the Holy Spirit when we confess with our mouth….not our mind. Mind is for the new age and eastern religions focused on hypnotism, transcendental meditation, yoga, etc., which are occult practices. As Christians we speak, and pray, and confess with our mouth. Ephesians 6:19, Acts 18:9-11.
