What would you do if you were lost and ended up at a dead end that had two doors? One was sparkly red and glittered and the other was green? The glittered door grabs your attention but before you open the door, someone that you trust and respect tells you that “the sparkly red door may be enticing, but you will still be lost”.  Which door would you choose?

The two doors represent two different directions. The sparkly glittered red door leads to the sins of the world or death and the muted green door leads to a life everlasting by following a path with Jesus. You would probably will think twice before opening the sparkly red door because someone you trust cautioned you. Do you believe and trust God? We know God is not a man that He can lie.

Num 23:19 “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”

God tells us we have a choice. We can choose life or we can choose death.

Deu 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.”

He tells us that the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but He has given us a choice. He has given us a choice so that we might have life and life more abundantly (richly supplied).

John 10:10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Do you trust God’s word? If so, why would someone that trust Him ignore his warnings?

Some people continue to choose death because they believe their sins are too great. Do you know that no sin is unforgivable? Jesus tells us in the New Testament that there is only one sin that cannot be forgiven; blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. But that is not the case for those of us that believe.

Jesus promises us eternal life or eternal punishment. What many people don’t realize is eternal life begins here on earth. When Jesus died, He removed the barrier that stood between us and God. Yes, being a new creature in Christ entitles us to eternal life with God, but the benefits start right now when you choose life. John 17:3 tells us that eternal l life is knowing the true God and Jesus Christ who was sent to us. To know God is not just knowledge; it is about an intimate, close personal relationship with Jesus.

Today, ask God to forgive all your sins (He is faithful to forgive them) and choose life instead of death, which results from sin. No matter what you have done, Jesus wants to make you a new person. All you have to do is ask Him. You can do that right now, in your own words, by asking God to forgive you for all of the bad things you have done in your life. This is called confessing your sins. Then ask Jesus to become the leader of your life, to make you a new person and to guide and shape you from this moment on. Finally, thank God for loving you enough to not give up on you, but to make your salvation possible through his son, Jesus Christ. It’s that easy!

Dear God,
In Joh 6:37, Your word says, “…him that comes to me I will by no means cast out”. Your Word also says in (Rom 10:9, 10 “….if I will confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead, I SHALL BE SAVED….for whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved”. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. Father, I know I am a sinner. I have done some things I should not have done and said some things I should not have said. But today, I ask for forgiveness for all my sins. I am calling upon His Name —the Name of Jesus—. Jesus, I ask that you come into my heart and be my Lord and savior. I want to be born again of God therefore, I chose light and not darkness. I thank you, Jesus, for forgiving my sins and receiving me into your family. Thank you, Father, for I am now reconciled with You!
