To be a nice person, you don’t need to be Holy Spirit lead, or someone who pleases everyone and is ‘sweet’, or Mr./ Ms. “popularity”, or even someone who speaks “politically correct” language. Even an Atheist can be such a nice person. If you want to be Spirit lead, you need to be ready to sacrifice and put to death your “fleshly” desires and stop pleasing the world around you. People will always put pressure through manipulation, control and emotional tantrums to force you to follow their ways or the worldly ways. Being Spirit lead means to be “controversial”; to do things differently than the worlds traditions dictate. Since God’s ways are not man’s ways, you will be different and the world may hate you for your stand. Remember they hated Jesus and His disciples as they ruffled feathers and were always controversial in their unconventional ways of dealing with every situation. Don’t be like the world and follow “worldly” traditions; be obedient to His Spirit even if it causes you to lose so call friends and relationships (Romans 8:14). Quit being the “nice guy” or the “’nice girl”. Get real! Be bold, courageous and confident. Be who God called you to be! Anointed, accepted and approved by Christ. You have His seal of approval so you don’t need man’s to approval (Galatians 1:10).
