We can be truly delivered only if we earnestly desire and are desperate for it. The real change happens when we truly repent, humble ourselves by letting go of pride and ego and shutting the portals and doors that allowed the addiction and oppression to happen. Once we shut those doors we should not try to re-open them as it can get worse than before (Matthew 12:43-45). God searches our heart to see if we truly desire to change or is it mere lip service when on a spiritual high or at a church service or during counseling. Submit to Him, seek His face and let the glorious light of Jesus Christ shine into your soul to heal it of every wound and affliction.

When we truly are willing to let go of those addictions and negative attitudes then the Holy Spirit will take control and the Deliverance can be successful and long lasting. Only you will know if you truly want to be delivered and set free and remain free. No one can force or coax you into it. It’s a personal choice. God’s sovereignty does not diminish man’s free will. (James 1:13-16).
