Who’s Voice: CHRIST or SATAN?
Whose VOICE do we listen to? Who is alive and active in one’s everyday life? Does Christ control our actions through the Holy Spirit or is one lead by the spirit guides, mediums or deceptive demonic voices? The Bible says that Christ lives in a believer but does He take charge by default? Galatians 2: 20 states ‘I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me’. But does this mean we automatically start living, walking, talking and acting like Christ since He lives in us? No – we must give Him the charge by partnering with the Holy Spirit. God has given us the free will to choose – the flesh which is born in sin or the Holy Spirit for those who receive Christ.
The more we communicate with the Holy Spirit by listening to His guidance the more we become like Christ. However, do we always hear His voice or do we heed the voice of the devil who constantly tries to deceive both the believer and the unbeliever. Jesus said, ‘My sheep hear my voice’: John 10: 27. But is that always so simple? Many believers are tormented, deceived, oppressed by the wrong voices that constantly misguide them farther away from God’s plans for their lives. These voices may seem like it may be coming from God. But how can we know? God’s voice through His Holy Spirit will be re-assuring, enlightening, gentle, comforting, calming, encouraging and forgiving, leading us to victory but satan’s voice through his demons can be threatening, confusing, aggressive, stressful, discouraging and condemning leading one to a path of confusion, shame, guilt, doubt and unbelief, oppression, depression and potentially even suicide.
If we humbly seek the voice of the Holy Spirit He will speak to us. Ask God to give you discernment to know what is the right voice. Anyone who has indulged or hung around people who practice the occult, witchcraft, channeling, new age, Jehovah witnesses, Santeria, spiritualism, tarot card, crystal ball, calling the dead and palm readers, who offers sacrifices and offerings to idols and statues and (Exodus 22:17-19), Leviticus 20:27, Deuteronomy 18:10-12, Acts 13:18, Acts 8:9, Revelation 21:8) some others may be assigned a ‘spirit guide’ or other demons called ‘familiar spirits’ who will mislead and distort God’s Word and plans for your life. Gods desire is for us to be transformed to the image of His Son Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29), we cannot become like Him if we do not heed His voice and follow these deceptive voices. Seek help from a deliverance ministry to get rid of these voices so you can have a fruitful relationship with God through His Holy Spirit. You cannot continue a life of deception and defeat for another moment.
