I have been reading a lot of post lately about judgment. Some people are wondering if the Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, are about God’s judgment. Many responses have been “judgement was taken away by Jesus, we are not being judged”. Well I don’t know if God is using Hurricanes to get our attention but I do know that God does discipline and why would we be corrected if there is no judgment? Not only does He discipline us (Heb 12:6 FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”), we are told about judgment in “end times”.

During 9/11, we came together as a country. I am not saying that it was God’s judgment but we do know that He is in control and did not stop it. Hurricane Harvey has devastated Texas, and people are loving and helping each other regardless of race and religion. Hurricane Harvey came during a time when division, bigoty and racism had raised its ugly head. I don’t know how long people will continue to show love, but I know what is expected of God’s people … 1Jn 4:8-9 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love”.
